Rojales
The History of Rojales dates back to time of the Moors who introduced
the irrigation system which is still evident in Rojales today.
One of Rojales most stricking features is the 18th century bridge
over the Segura river which has three wide arches
Rojales has many leisure activities including football, basketball, volleyball,
tennis and swimming alongside one of the main golf courses in
the region. The 18 hole Golf course has excellent facilities including
golfing school, practice area and restaurant. For nature lovers
Rojales is close to the Natural Park of the Lagoons of Torrevieja
and La Mata.
Rojales is an ideal environment for a long or short stay on the Costa
Blanca. The village is surrounded by many orange and lemon plantations.
Besides some big supermarkets there are of course traditional
baker's and butcher's shops. Rojales offers a choice of local
food but also the foreign "cuisine" is very well represented.
There is an aquapark in Rojales and discotheques guarantee a pleasant
stay for younger people.
